Overview
This course provides students with the skills and knowledge required to successfully install, operate, and troubleshoot a small to medium size enterprise branch network. This course builds on the foundation provided by Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices 1 (ICND1). 

Students review how to configure and troubleshoot a switch and router in a small network environment. Students will learn to expand the switched network from a small to medium network environment. They will be taught the dangers of redundant switching and learn about Spanning Trees. In addition, students are able to implement VLSMs and understand the concepts of VLANs and trunking. Students will be skilled in configuring, verifying and troubleshooting OSPFs, EIGRPs and ACLs. Furthermore, the course will teach students to configure NAT, PAT, PPP, CHAP and PAP. Finally, students will be skilled in IPv6 addressing, VPN solutions and Frame Relay operations.

Audience
This course is intended for students who wish to gain a CCNA® certification. It is designed for those who have a firm background in data networking or have hands on experience with Cisco routers and switches who wish to increase their knowledge on installation or maintaining and troubleshooting networks.

Prerequisites
Before attending this course, the student should have completed course ICND1.
