Course Length: 3 days. Overview This course provides IT Professionals with the preparation they need for the role of Enterprise Administrator. In addition, students will learn how to design application infrastructure solutions based on Windows Server 2008, to meet varying business and technical requirements.
After completing this course, students will be able to design IIS 7 Web Farms, IIS 7 for Security, IIS 7 for reliability, recovery and monitoring and design and prepare a Terminal Services infrastructure. In addition, students will be capable of designing a Terminal Services maintenance strategy and a Windows Media Services installation for live and on-demand delivery. Furthermore, students will be able to optimise IIS 7 for performance and stability and determine virtualisation appropriateness and virtual server provisioning. Finally, students will be skilled in determining virtualisation appropriateness and virtual server provisioning.
Audience The primary audience for this course is IT Professionals whom are interested in becoming a Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Administrator with a focus on application infrastructure such as web and terminal services. This course is also intended for Application Architects who want to know more about integrating Windows Server 2008 technologies into enterprise applications.

Prerequisites Before attending this course, students must have intermediate understanding of networking, network operating systems, server and network hardware and security best practices. Students must also have a conceptual understanding of Active Directory and hands on experience with more than one application service.
