3067: Novell eDirectory Design & Implementation: eDirectory 8.8

Course Length: 3 days.   

 

Overview

This course teaches students to design and implement Novell eDirectory (version 8.8) trees and related components in any type of organisation for different types of organisational goals. Students will be using different types of network operation systems. Students will perform eDirectory design and implementation tasks on the following platforms: OES, NetWare (SP1), OES Linux (SP1), and Windows Server 2003.

 

Students will work in a real-world scenario to design and implement a new tree to meet the needs of a fictional organisation, Edutrain. Students will also be introduced to design considerations and guidelines per vault trees and LDAP authentication trees.

 

 

Audience

This course is targeted towards students who are interested in specialising with eDirectory and have had prior experience with network operating systems. The course prepares students to take the Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) and Certified Novell Instructor (CNI) certification exams.

Prerequisites

Students should have an understanding or equivalent experience of (3003) or (3003) CompTIA Network+, (3016) Foundations of Novell Networking, (3042) Novell Network Manager, and (3017), Fundamentals of Novell eDirectory.
