| 3090: Deploying Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 for Linux |

Course Length: 5 days.
Overview This course provides students with an understanding of the process for migrating services and data from NetWare to Open Enterprise Server (OES) 2 for Linux. Students will also gain an understanding of the principles for supporting Novell OES 2 for Linux issues, including troubleshooting and maintenance. Furthermore, students will learn about storage using Dynamic Storage Technologies (DST) and will be able to manage the administration of security on Novell OES 2 for Linux and configure tasks for it. In addition, students will be provided with the knowledge and skills to understand and install Virtualised NetWare.
Audience This course is intended for NetWare Certified Novell Engineers (CNEs) who are interested in moving, or are planning to move, their servers from NetWare to Novell OES 2 Linux, or are planning to add OES 2 Linux servers to their existing network. Students interested in obtaining the Novell Certified Engineer (NCE) Enterprise Services certification should also take this course.
Outline
Prerequisites Students should be a current NetWare 6 or Novell Open Enterprise Server NetWare CNEs. Students should also have experience in NetWare 6, 6.5, OES NetWare products, Novell Storage Devices, Novell Client Protocol, Novell eDirectory, Certificate Server, DNS/DHCP, iFolder, iPrint, iManager, iMonitor and Novell Remote Manager. In addition, students should have completed (3089) Implementing Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 for Linux. |
