Novell's Guide to CompTIA's Linux+ with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 teaches basic Linux administrative skills as they apply to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (SLES11). This course is ideal for those who have little or no experience with Linux and who are seeking a fundamental understanding of the SUSE Linux Enterprise 11 operating system.

3. Using YaST to Administer the System

Prerequisite
Before taking this course, Students should have solid knowledge of how to use a graphical user interface, such as Microsoft Windows XP or Mac OS X, and should be familiar with PC basics including partitions, file systems, directories, files, and fundamental TCP/IP networking concepts. Students need basic administration know-how in a Windows environment. While existing Linux knowledge would be helpful, it is not absolutely required.
